Would you have expected to find a sunbed in a doll fitness set?

An exercise bike, a machine for trimming the waist, and a sunbed. The first two still belongs

to our idea of exercise. The third may seem to have wandered in from an entirely different room,

but Pedigree sold all three together as Sindy's Keeping Fit set. And once we look at what fitness

could mean in the early 1980s, the combination begins to make sense. 

This is the complete Keeping Fit set, including the original box. My example carries the reference number 44441. The set appears in Pedigree material. What we can safely say is that it belonged to Sindy's early 1980s world and remained available for several years.
