Sindy dolls were mainly produced during the years 1963-1986 by the british company Pedigree Toys and brands. Over time, other companies, most notably Hasbro, also produced Sindy dolls as the brand license were outsourced. 

Today, Sindy continues as a licensed brand, connecting its original heritage with modern releases.

Below is a visual guide to help you decode your dolls markings, read stamps, and find out what year (or at least what period) it was made. The markings provide a useful starting point, but should always be confirmed with physical details, if you want to know the exact doll.  Note that there are many small variations in markings and individual dolls and this guide will grow with time. Sometimes the identification can be made all down to the exact doll, model and year. Sometimes an estimated time period or era are as far as we come. Sindy Doll Markings & Stamps

033055X neck marking 

One of the most common markings found on vintage Sindy dolls is the 033055X stamp. But far from all Sindy dolls has a 033055X stamp. Notice the difference between 033055X only, 2 GEN 1077 033055X and Sindy® & 033055X in examples below. The time period is mid 70s to mid 80s.
